New York prosecutors say Latino heartthrob Marc Anthony has been robbed of more than $2.5 million by a greedy accountant. The millions were pilfered from his accounts over the course of eight years, between 2009 and 2017, according to TMZ.
Accountant Kyle Tessiero — whose firm also reps Anthony, Drake and Pharrell — allegedly ran up $2.5 million in charges on Anthony’s American Express card, which he’d pay off with cash from Anthony’s bank account, according to TMZ.
Anthony’s people told TMZ that the irregular spending showed up in an internal audit.
Tessiero was arraigned August 29 in Manhattan Criminal Court on one count of first degree grand larceny charges which carry a maximum sentence of up to 25 years prison, according to court records.
His next court date is Oct. 16, at which he’ll learn the details of any indictment on the charges.
