Beyonce and Jay-Z’s twins were born ‘prematurely’ and are being ‘treated for jaundice’

A source told the gossip site that the superstar singer did not carry out her pregnancy to full-term and so the newborn babies are being kept “under the lights”.

Bili lights is a form of phototherapy which is designed to eliminate high levels of bilirubin in the blood.
This could mean the twins have jaundice – a term used to describe the yellowing of the skin and the whites of the eyes.

The yellow substance is created when old red blood cells are replaced by new ones; the heightened levels cause a baby’s skin and eyes to turn yellow.

It can be very dangerous if left untreated, but is usually successfully treated once diagnosed.
