The Liverpool footballer, who welcomed his first son with his beautiful model wife Alex Curran on Saturday, took to Instagram to share the heartwarming snap with his 6 million followers.
With a sweet picture of his newborn Lio George Gerrard sleeping, Steven captioned the heartwarming post with a simple red heart. And fans were quick to comment on the truly adorable image.
The Liverpool legend revealed his family is "complete" with the birth of their first son. Taking to Instagram, the 36 year old confirmed the news of the arrival, sharing an illustration which read: "It’s a boy!"
"Lio George Gerrard was born this morning at 4.55am," he captioned the upload, "Both are doing great. Our family is complete." Alex and Steven already share three daughters, Lilly-Ella, 13, Lexie, 10, and five year old Lourdes.
The couple, who tied the knot back in 2007, confirmed they were adding to their brood last October.
