Prince Philip will be stepping down from his Royal duties, according to reports

The Duke of Edinburgh will be attending scheduled appearances until Autumn, but will retire from more public engagements. Buckingham Palace confirmed the news in a statement, explaining the 95 year old has the "full support" of the Queen.
"His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh has decided that he will no longer carry out public engagements from the Autumn of this year. In taking this decision, the Duke has the full support of The Queen.
"Prince Philip will attend previously scheduled engagements between now and August, both individually and accompanying The Queen.

"Thereafter, the Duke will not be accepting new invitations for visits and engagements, although he may still choose to attend certain public events from time to time. "The Duke of Edinburgh is Patron, President or a member of over 780 organisations, with which he will continue to be associated, although he will no longer play an active role by attending engagements."

The message ended by confirming The Queen will still carry out her duties in full. "Her Majesty will continue to carry out a full programme of official engagements with the support of members of the Royal Family," they added.
The news comes after The Queen called an emergency meeting for the entire Royal household, at Buckingham Palace. The 91 year old’s most senior aides ordered all staff across the royal residences to attend.

Servants were addressed on May 4, by Lord Chamberlain, the most senior officer of the Queen's household.

Staff from across all royal residences, including Windsor Castle and Sandringham, attended the meeting, as well as those from further afield, such as Balmoral in Scotland.
Her request sparked intense speculation as to what exactly was happening with the Royal family.
Sources were forced to quash rumours about the couple’s health, stating they were "wide of the mark", and insisted both are "fine".

Prince Philip’s last official public appearance was on May 3, as he attended Lords Cricket Ground to open up a new stand at the venue.
