Goldberg becomes new Universal Champion

The road to WrestleMania continued Sunday at WWE Fastlane as Goldberg defeated Kevin Owens for the Universal Championship. The main event, which lasted less than a minute, was delayed by Owens who kept leaving the ring to walk along the outside before the referee could ring the bell.

Once he felt ready and the match started, Owens was then distracted by his former best friend Chris Jericho whom he had betrayed weeks earlier.
As Jericho's music hit and he entered the arena, a distracted Owens was hit with a vicious Spear by Goldberg who then followed that up with a a Jackhammer for the three count.

Goldberg will now be defending the Universal Championship against his rival Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania. "See you in 28 DAYS, @BrockLesnar!" noted WWE's Twitter account alongside a photo of Goldberg holding up his new title.
