Ciara & Russell Wilson Host Co-Ed Baby Shower

Before Ciara and Russell Wilson welcome their baby, the superstar couple celebrated with a co-ed baby shower, which took place at a lavish home in Los Angeles last weekend.

The day’s color theme was a beautiful mixture of white and gold, even down to the couple’s outfits. A pregnant CiCi looked gorgeous in her white dress and floral crown, while Wilson was dapper in an all-white hoodie and denim combo.

The guests, which included La La Anthony and Serena Williams, were also dressed in all white and donned beautiful flower crowns as well. “Truly Grateful For My Girls,” Ciara wrote on Instagram.
La La, who nicknamed herself #auntielala, added: “Best of times at @ciara & @dangerusswilson baby shower!! I can’t wait for the new blessing to our family!!!”

Event planner Mindy Weiss organized the elegant celebration, using golden giraffes and elephants to go with white and gold books and candles. She added white flowers to top off the table arrangements.
The party’s all-white theme wasn’t just aesthetically pleasing. It was also a way to avoid revealing the sex of the baby, who is rumored to be a boy. This will be the couple’s first child and Ciara’s second. Her three-year-old son Future — who she had with rapper Future — was also reportedly in attendance at the shower.

CiCi recently gushed about motherhood during an interview with Harper’s Bazaar. “I’m just super excited about this time in my life,” she said. “Like, oh my gosh, I can see my son running around, and soon it’s going to be two of these creatures running around! Our hands will be full of non-stop action.”
