“This story is based on outdated material taken out of context from hacked and doctored private emails from a third party server,” a rep for the footballer told Page Six Saturday.
The reports give “a deliberately inaccurate picture,” he added.
On Friday, excerpts from emails said to be written by Beckham were released and alleged his philanthropic efforts were a strategic move to become Sir David Beckham.
In one, Beckham allegedly dismissed lower honours, writing, “unless it’s a knighthood f — k off.’
UNICEF also denied these claims in a statement on their website complete with a list of charitable deeds Beckham has done for the Foundation.
“David and UNICEF are rightly proud of what they have and will continue to achieve together and are happy to let the facts speak for themselves,” his rep continued.
