The WWE announced that WrestleMania will return to New Orleans in 2018.
"WrestleMania 34 will emanate from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans on Sunday, April 8, 2018," the sports-entertainment giant said in a statement Monday.
Previously, WWE's premiere event had filled the Mercedes-Benz Superdome with 75,167 fans for WrestleMania 30 in 2014. That event notably featured Daniel Bryan, now Smackdown Live general manager, defeating Randy Orton and Batista in a Triple Threat match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
The news comes as the WWE Universe prepares for WrestleMania 33, which will take place at Camping World Stadium in Orlando on April 2.
A press conference that will detail further plans for WrestleMania 34 is set to take place Tuesday.
